Crazy Café Bistro in Constanta, Romania, is one of the top restaurants in the area, offering a large trendy interior and a stunning terrace, welcoming each guest. It has two inviting interior areas and a terrace that provide guests a place to enjoy a full meal or just a light snack and a tasty beverage.
Their old website had little SEO value and a dozen competing designs, which made it very confusing. They came to Sincretix Design Studio hoping to update the look and feel of their brand, while getting an easy to maintain website that would standout.
The result is an exquisite example of practical minimalism, employing three fundamental design elements to their maximum potential. On the surface, Crazy Café’s site is immediately satisfying, with its deliciously dynamic duotone palette, rhythmically flowing Roboto, and lavishly spacious composition. In true minimalist fashion, we focused on the essential aspects of design while reducing their synergistic complexity to harmonious proportions. Here, color transcends mere ornamentation to provide chronological context, subconscious dialogue, and organizational cohesion. Regional differentiation is subsequently achieved via distinctly formulated compositions and generous application of whitespace(more about use of whitespace in web design in our previous article – Use Whitespace to Improve Conversions). Further, by limiting typefaces to Roboto and Kaushan Script, we reinforced presentational cohesion throughout the entire site.
